Why Am I Crying?

This picture is set in the near future. Donna Temple-Noble is passing by a toy store when a small rag doll catches her eye. It is, of course, a plushie of the Tenth Doctor - but Donna doesn't quite remember, therefore doesn't understand why she is crying - hence the title of my picture.

The 'hands pressed against the window' turned out so much better than I'd expected, as did Donna's fabulous flame red hair.

I know the picture's background sucks but it's the best I can do. I really only wanted something dark and shadowy so that the bright foreground colours stand out. I think that's worked out.

Sadly, Donna's tears didn't really turn out quite as well as I'd hoped but I guess, for my first attempt at tears, they're ok. And, yes, I know that "Why Am I Crying?" is an Amy Pond line, but it seemed to fit Donna perfectly.

Donna is my favourite DW companion. I always feel her story isn't quite finished yet. I hope Steven Moffat reintroduces her at some point. And, obviously, the Tenth Doctor will always be my Doctor.

I've tried to include lots of objects which reference Doctor Who - e.g. poncho, cricket bat&ball, witch, drum, etc. The only completely random, unrelated thing I've included is the giraffe. Don't ask me why I drew a giraffe. It seemed like a good idea at the time!

I drew this picture completely inPAINT. It took me a whole month to draw this, so please please please please please please please please please please Vote For Me!
